We survived! :)

Does this look like a baby that just had shots hours before? She did so well. Gavin did not. I tried to prepare him for Olivia's shots the best I could. We talked about how it would hurt her just for a little bit, and she would cry, but she'd be all better soon. As soon as the nurses came in with the needles, Gavin got really panicy and was asking over and over, "Mom, what is she doing?" As soon as Olivia got her shots Gavin started crying...I think he cried harder than she did! I had my hands full for a minute, but got everyone calmed down. Ever since then Gavin has been so sweet to Olivia, and has been telling people that "She got an owie, but she's okay now."

Anxiety over shots...

Tomorrow Olivia goes in for her 4-month check-up. I'm NOT looking forward to her shots. Apparently there was a recall on one of the vaccines given to babies that used to combine 3 of them, which means my poor baby girl is going to get stuck 5 times tomorrow.



I know what you're thinking--Gavin has been through WAY worse. I just hate when either of my kiddos are hurting. :(

A great weekend, and Olivia has a tooth!

A trip to Miller, SD was in the cards for us this weekend! Our niece, Kayla, turned 5 last Thursday, and her birthday party was on Saturday. Gavin could hardly wait to get to Austin and Kayla's house! He was extra excited because we were spending the night! We had a great time; Angie and Jeff have a super location and it was nice to get back to just "shooting"....I took the opportunity to snap some photos, some of these were on the car ride back:







And just last night, Olivia cut her very first tooth...on the bottom-right side. It's just barely through, but poor baby girl has 3-4 more coming right on its heels! She's a tough cookie, though!
