Yep, guilty as charged. I really REALLY need to update this blog. My New Year's Resolution is to get back into the swing of doing it a couple of times a week! I have lots of Christmas photos to share, so check back soon!

Halloween "Practice"

Here is Gavin right before trick-or-treating at SMSU's Residence HALLoween! Most of the dorms on campus have candy and activities for the kids. Gavin wanted to wear last year's pirate costume and save his Buzz Lightyear costume for the "Real Halloween" in his words. :)

Things went much MUCH better this time!

Loving her independence!

Olivia LOVES her walker--she's going backwards AND forwards now! Every once in awhile she gets stuck in a corner in the kitchen.

So that didn't work...

I tried to take photos of the kiddos yesterday, but the stars were aligned against me. Gavin is sick, Olivia kept trying to climb out of the wagon, no one would look at me, and I forgot to white balance my camera. We lasted about 10 minutes before I decided to pack it in and head home. Here's the result!

Squeezing in "Outside Time"

The kids and I enjoyed the temps in the upper 60's this afternoon! All too soon it will be too cold to play outside. Gavin drove his red car, while Olivia explored the grass. Tentative at first, she soon had no problem crawling all over the place!

Goofing Around

Olivia is more and more mobile all the time, and now has 9 teeth! Six in on top, three on the bottom with another one just about ready to break through.

Gavin very rarely poses for the camera anymore, so please excuse the messy shirt and cheetos dust! I thought it was a great smile on his face.

Good Buddies.

Surprisingly, 90% of the time Gavin shares really well with Olivia! They are really going to be good buddies as they get older.

Biter Biscuits

Olivia's first "finger food" to speak of; I think they were a hit! This little girl has 6 teeth on top, 2 on the bottom, and 2 more on the bottom just waiting to break through--and she isn't even 8 months old yet!

Bedtime Shenanigans!

Gavin was having WAY TOO much fun running around. He is such a COOL DUDE now that he loves to wear his sunglasses!

Gavin's 1st day of School

Gav's first day started out to be a VERY HECTIC and STRESSFUL morning (because the school district did a poor job of communicating a few things) Gavin, however, was all smiles and could not wait for the school bus to come and pick him up!

Brotherly (and Sisterly) Love

After I changed Olivia, I left her in her crib because she was enjoying her crib toys so much...not too long later I heard some "little" voices and a lot of giggles. When I poked my head back in this is what I saw....

Olivia is getting so big!

As you can see she's sitting on her own, and unfortunately for Gavin, getting more mobile which means she's starting to get into his stuff!
